Francke Family European Goodwill Tour of '01
Nearly 14 years after U.S. President Ronald Reagan commanded, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall," Family Francke traveled to Eastern Europe (east of Malta, anyhow) on a mission of peace in May 2001. Resolving to leave no artwork unvisited, no dessert untasted, and no homework unfinished, the giddy clan skipped from town to town on a three week survey of Western civilization. Their diplomatic efforts were largely successful, as they declared to all who would listen, "Mio buono uomo, ci dà un buono prezzo su un giro del tasś a Napoli!"
